“The difference between real acceptance and just backing away from an issue, or away from the whole relationship, is resentment.” – Terry Real

Looking for a therapist, that is the right fit, can be a challenging first step in healing and personal growth. Feeling tired of living in the same ole’ patterns, a desire to find resolution to your past and traumas, and feeling stuck and/or frustrated with others and yourself? These may be an indication it’s time to come see me.

A little bit about me…I am a wife, dog mom, and avid beach goer. I love spending time outside and believe there is a lot to be said for spending time in the sun on the water. I am often seen hanging out around St. Augustine, most frequently- walking my Australian Shepherd puppy.

With therapeutic experience in multiple settings, I am confident that we can work through things together. I will meet you where you are and move at a pace that is comfortable, while still challenging you to grow, as change does not come through comfort. In my experiences as a Victim Advocate with Hubbard House, a Victim Advocate with the St. Johns County Sheriff’s office, an intern at EPIC Recovery Center, a therapist at the CAIR Center, and actively as a social worker on the Behavioral Health Unit at UF Health St. Johns (Flagler Hospital), I have had many experiences working with a plethora of different crises and mental health conditions.

In my therapeutic practice, I use a combination of Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, and Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I am an EMDRIA Approved EMDR Therapist and have found that EMDR allows for the brain to process at the speed of thought rather than talk. EMDR allows for adaptive shifts to happen, all using the power of your brain, resulting in changes throughout all elements of your life.

My specialty areas are trauma, grief, loss, domestic violence, depression, anxiety, daily stressors, relationship struggles, sexual assault survivors, PTSD, and more.
