Chiedza Mashava, known to her clients as Chi Chi, is a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern and a proud graduate of Nova Southeastern University, where she earned her Master’s in Couples and Family Therapy in 2023. She has worked in school-based settings, community mental health, and private practice, supporting clients from diverse backgrounds as they navigate life’s unique challenges. She is currently working toward full licensure in Florida and brings warmth, curiosity, and compassion to every session.
Her Approach
Chi Chi creates a safe and inclusive space where clients can explore their story, gain insight into their relational patterns, and strengthen the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and relationships. Her approach is grounded in family systems theory and evidence-based practices, helping clients understand how past experiences influence present dynamics and choices. Therapy with Chi Chi is a collaborative journey, and her goal is to help each person feel more connected, confident, and fulfilled as they move through life’s seasons.
Who She Works With
Chi Chi specializes in helping individuals, couples, and families navigate transitions, strengthen relationships, and develop a deeper sense of clarity and confidence.
In individual therapy for ages 14 and up, she supports clients navigating life transitions and identity changes, understanding relationship patterns and dating challenges, managing anxiety, stress, and self-esteem concerns, healing and rebuilding after divorce or separation, and exploring family-of-origin and relational dynamics.
In couples therapy, she helps partners improve communication and deepen emotional intimacy, navigate commitment and prepare for marriage or partnership, strengthen connection through shared goals and life transitions, and gain clarity through discernment counseling.
In family therapy, she works with families to strengthen parenting and co-parenting relationships, resolve conflict and improve communication, and adjust to transitions such as divorce, relocation, or blending families.
