She understands how past experiences and societal messages can deeply influence self-worth and overall life satisfaction, and she is passionate about helping clients discover the beauty within themselves and in their everyday experiences.

Melissa strives to provide a warm, personal, and supportive therapeutic relationship where clients feel safe, heard, and respected. She takes a client-centered approach, meeting clients where they are and working collaboratively to identify goals, build resilience, and strengthen internal resources in ways that feel authentic and sustainable.
In her clinical work, she draws from a variety of evidence-based and integrative approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Expressive Arts, among other counseling theories. She tailors treatment to each individual, recognizing that healing looks different for every person.
Who She Works With
Melissa specializes in working with teens and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, body image concerns, body dysmorphia, gender dysphoria, disordered eating patterns, and trauma. She has particular experience supporting LGBTQ+ individuals, mothers and those navigating the postpartum period, and individuals healing from religious trauma. Her work is grounded in affirming, trauma-informed care that honors each client’s unique identity and lived experience.
